This critical position serves as a core team member of R&D projects (NPI and LCM). The role provides technical coordination to engineering on serviceability improvements and service dependencies while representing the Customer Service function in technical design review meetings and supports the overall Customer Service deliverables and ensures project readiness for each phase.

You are responsible for

Works as a Service Innovation Engineer on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of service innovation data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis.  The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of basic service innovation principles, -theories and -concepts.  Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems by combining previous experiences based upon technical analysis and service innovation (feasibility) studies.  May lead small service innovation projects, managing a small number of people.

  • Representing Customer Service in the product realization projects, defining and owning the CS project planning and execution of the tasks
  • Defining milestone dependencies and expose risks to the project, and develop mitigation to overcome impact
  • Participating in design reviews to safeguard the required reliability and serviceability
  • Advising development how to realize an efficient serviceability of the system
  • Preparing all Service deliverables in projects on the agreed time and with the right quality
  • Define product Spare Parts/ eSPF (Electronic Spare Parts Finder)
  • Leading the departmental project team that builds the Service deliverables
  • Taking an active role in First of a Kind installation support and system performance monitoring after hand over to the customer
  • Participating in engineering teams, project teams and work with Global CS to drive improvements
  • Initiating and implementing process improvements and optimize way of working in projects and in the CS department

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electronic engineering or technical field equivalent
  • Over 5-10 years of experience in medical devices or service equivalent experience
  • Ability to work across different functional teams and virtual organizations at global level
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
  • Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
  • Experience in medical device DXR/CT/MRI field service is a preference
  • 1-2 years of project management experience, preferably in a regulated and process oriented environment such as medical device development is preferred
  • Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work across cultural and geographic boundaries
  • Well organized and analytical with good communications skills at various levels in the organization
