Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Ensuring lowest total cost of ownership to contribute to the profitability objectives for projects in the markets.
  • Ensures cost control, flexibility, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of procurement objectives within the supply base are established and achieved.
  • Secures compliancy of the supply base to Philips policies and carries out relevant risk management assessments.
  • Acts as expert in local requirements (legislation, culture) and make sure it is applied

You are responsible for

  • Work with global IT procurement team to deploy global technology sourcing strategies and project implementation in GC and APAC  markets including suppliers, contracting and pricing in liaison with local IT stakeholders.
  • Source, negotiate and ensure contract compliancy for all local software, Infrastructure or IT Services for the APJ region.
  • Drive spend management objectives and cost savings across APJ region, deliver continuous and sustainable spend reduction through supplier negotiation, new sourcing models and purchase optimization .
  • Manage E2E purchase process for all local demand with local suppliers through  tendering, negotiation, scoring, selecting, contracting and execution.
  • Support the global technology roadmap and projects deployment for the APJ region.
  • Lead, develop, assign, and monitor sourcing projects, including responsibility for local reporting, funding, agreed savings and (cost)budgets.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with the various Philips businesses to ensure successful execution of sourcing and spend management strategies.
  • Accountable for effective influence of suppliers spend, suppliers performance and approve suppliers list.
  • Manage audits related to contracts compliancy and sourcing process of the commodity in the region.

You are a part of

Greater China Market Procurement team, based at Shanghai, and will be reporting directly to Greater China Market Procurement Head. 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Information Technology , Information Management or Business Administration.
  • At least 5 years IT purchasing experience (required) with a proven track record in leading major (IT) sourcing engagements and contract negotiations (required)
  • Proven experience sourcing technology products and services, and supporting digital projects.
  • Knowledge of the IT business environment within large multinationals or IT Service Providers.
  • Experience with working/partnering with large IT vendors .
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual, remote environment .
  • Change driven, pragmatic, strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, with focus on getting results for the business .
  • Highly energetic with a young mindset and strong drive for results.
  • Eager to learn and develop yourself.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory, other APJ languages are an advantage.
