Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to


Influence strategy and growth in a leading Health Technology company. Are you a highly talented strategist, who can support the Philips Real Estate team to make decisions. As a Senior Manager in the Strategy, M&A and Innovation team you will directly support, and influence key decisions made at the highest level of the Philips Real Estate organization

You are responsible for

  • Own and drive project work streams or projects, guided by the Strategy & Data Analytics management team
  • Conduct high quality, meaningful, evidence-based analyses;
  • Build, communicate and implement actionable strategy recommendations for the Philips Real Estate portfolio;
  • Prepare reporting and recommendations to audiences of senior management
  • Performing in-depth due diligence on the relevant Real Estate topics to be included in the overall analysis to ensure overall deal success, i.e. assessing risks and liabilities that can potentially have high financial impact / business case implications;
  • Analyzing portfolio impact of M&A projects on the Philips Real Estate portfolio and contribute to financial underpinning of post-merger integration (e.g. capex budgets) and Opex budget items as part of due diligence;
  • Implementation of post-merger integration strategies
  • Responsibilities range from global projects at global level to high-impact projects within specific markets. Typical projects could be as broad as the evaluation of Philips’ global footprint in terms of value creation opportunities, the creation and implementation of a M&A integration strategy for a newly acquired company, and testing user satisfaction with smart building initiatives.

You are a part of

Philips Real Estate is responsible for all real estate topics within Philips globally, starting with strategy development, initiation and execution of construction projects, real estate transactions up to the operating responsibility of all Philips locations. In addition, we take care of our talents providing great, productive and healthy places to work, support state of the art way of working and collaborate with HR, IT and other departments.

There are 34 employees working at the office in the Netherlands out of a core team of about 124 real estate experts worldwide.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Master’s in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Science or Engineering with excellent academic track record
  • 5-8 years experience in M&A or strategy role for a top-tier international company
  • International business experience (experience in emerging markets is a plus)
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Affinity with Real Estate and/or sustainability is pre
  • Strong analytic & quantitative skills with eye for details and strong follow up capabilities;
  • ´Can do’ attitude using problem solving skills an ability to think creatively; takes ownership;
  • Diplomatic and influencing skills in cross-cultural context; sensitive to (organizational) cultural differences;
  • Able to analyze - but oversee at the same time
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Able to perform in a fast paced / high risk / high pressure environment;
  • Business acumen;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and customer service orientations. -professional, friendly and client focused;
