In this role, you have the opportunity to

To support Philips Alibaba Cross-border business, including Tmall Global, Kaola, Lazada and Ali-express.

Build business relationship with Alibaba import and export business group.

Manage TMG store for daily operation and big day promotion, also communication with HK sales team and cross-function team including BMC, Supply Chain.

You are a part of

  • Reporting line: Reports to Alibaba Cross-border Senior E-commerce Manager.
  • Stakeholders: External: Tmall industry 小二, TMG store operation team; Internal: Marketing manager, Product Manager, Finance, Alibaba Sales Team members, (Innovation and Development, Design, Supply, Marketing research)

You are responsible for

Distributor Management & Sales Planning

  • Manage the daily business operations of Tmall Global and Kaola (i.e. Tmall Global flagship store, Tmall-owned cross-border platform and Kaola oversea purchase). Partner with distributor(s) to build Tmall Global activation plans inclusive of promotions, and media and A&P activation plans. Manage orders and day-to-day distributor relationship. Responsible for maintaining and driving to annual sales plan, tracking performance, and recommending plus up opportunities. Responsible for key holiday (6/18, D11, D12, 5/20) planning and execution.
  • Develop strong relationships with Tmall Global and Kaola to identify new opportunities and partnerships and execute efficiently.

Performance Tracking & Price

  • Analyzes performance KPIs, consumer insights, and market data to inform sales walk, promotional/activation plan, and to recommend pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails for key SKUs or categories. Applies pricing architecture and understanding of competitive landscape to manage price. Utilizes product, pack configurations, and brand architecture to optimize price ladder.

Cross-border E-commerce Business Development

  • In partnership with the Alibaba Business Development Team, explore and build new business opportunities of Kaola, Lazada and Ali-Express. Analyze KPIs and provide local expertise to inform business investment strategy.
  • Maintain knowledge of market developments in Greater China and communicate to the local and the Netherlands-based teams along with any implications for execution.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 8+ years in e-Commerce experience sales area in a multi-national consumer goods company
  • Good sales skill to manage bilateral relationships, negotiation skills, Strategic thinker
  • Passion for identifying emerging trends in the digital space and leading innovation
  • Experience tracking performance and applying insights to optimize sales plan and investment strategy
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (written & verbal)
