In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Ensure the Product Industrialization and Supplier Quality , to drive proper industrialization of new products for outsourced manufacturing at suppliers,
  • Ensure the supplier to be qualified properly and product performance to achieve the target and keep driving improvement.

Your responsibility are:

  • Ensures adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release
  • Responsible for Manufacturing input in PDLM process focusing on DfMAT
  • Support the new product introduction as quality engineering, to perform APQP. 
  • Initiates and executes Capex optimization for initial investments
  • Is accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from I&D
  • sets product quality requirements to suppliers independently with minimal supervision and in partnership with cross-functional team members; this includes translation and flow down of Critical to Quality features from design to manufacturing
  • Is accountable for the process and equipment capability that meets these Requirements
  • Responsible for PDLM-driven design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers and their implementation
  • Is accountable for establishing Inspection and Test Criteria for Philips owned components and assemblies.
  • Accountable for and Conducts supplier monitoring, including Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), conducting SCAR review board meeting
  • Participate in QMS procedure deployment, continuous improvement & training; own assigned Purchasing Controls CAPA and defend Philips in agency inspections of Purchasing Controls .

  • To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

    Education:BS/MS in technical/engineering relevant discipline. Experience in an industrial environment, Professional in relevant manufacturing technology, lean manufacturing and supplier quality management. With tooling, background has additional advantage.

    Competencies and Skills:

  • In depth understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, equipment and quality systems analytical skills, Experience with quality management systems
  • Expert in modern engineering methods tools and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of process improvements and cost optimization
  • Be familiar with ISO9001, ISO13485, China MD GMP and GSP requirements
  • Expertise/experience in problem solving with quality tools such as:  APQP/8-D / CAPA / 5WHY etc.
  • Good knowledge of production/quality development and control methods (CtQ definition,  SPC, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc)
  • Good communication skills with external and internal stakeholders,
  • Good written and spoken English Skills. Chinese language is necessary.
  • Independent, Proactive, driving for result
