You are responsible for

MR Clinical applications insight creation & solution development:

  • Development of in-depth knowledge and insights on MR clinical application technologies and solutions.
  • End user clinical experience of products, solutions and services in I2M processes.
  • Ensure a consistent and common user experience across all elements of the products and solutions

Competitive product analysis:

  • Keep up to date with innovations in technology and medical applications, via scientific literature, symposia and international conferences
  • Collaborates with Physicians, end users and Operators in evaluating new clinical applications or technology

Specific Role: Clinical Consultant Team Leader:

  • As Clinical Consultant responsible for:
    • clinical product application insights and solutions
    • substantiation of the clinical roadmaps by co-creation clinical solutions
    • content for education and training materials.
    • Support creation of application swim-lane deliverables aligning user needs, clinical evaluation, validation, training content between appropriate stakeholders connected to QMS processes.
    • Deliver appropriate DHF contributions to design according QMS.
    • Develop functional specifications and feature/function prioritization that meet the needs of target customer segments together with Clinical Science, Engineering and Product Management
    • Ensure that products / solutions are designed according agreed end user needs
    • Trouble shooting on application level where clinical solutions and work arounds are needed.
  • As Site Team leader responsible for:
    • Leading a team of clinical consultants owning their performance management
    • Site lead for all MR clinical application activities at that site.
    • Acting as Principal investigator for Volunteer scanning program at site
    • Aligning and applying regulatory and QMS procedures/processes for the applicable local processes in a compliant way

You are a part of

The global Clinical Applications department within the BiU MRI at Philips. Its members act as the representative of the MRI end user in the Philips organization. The team consists for a large part out of employees with clinical, medical and/or Hospital “hands-on” work experience committed to improve patient and customer experience of our MR solutions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience


  • At least a bachelor degree;
  • Trained and/or educated in the MR/Radiology environment

Experience/ knowledge:

  • An experienced Radiologist, MR Operator or (Field) Applications Specialist > 5 years
  • Clinical knowledge/experience is a must
  • Knowledge of MR physics is preferred
  • Business knowledge is a pre
  • Knowledge on MR system design is a pre
  • Knowledge or Experience in I2M processes is a pre

  • Self-propelling
  • Systematic way of working, problem solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills on various levels and disciplines, both internal and external;
  • Fluent in English, verbal and in writing.
