Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be an integral part of the monitoring solutions development team and have the opportunity to work with the group of world-class R&D team who develop products that help save lives all over the world.

You are responsible for

  • Verification (test, inspection and analysis) in design and development project to ensure quality and compliance on product design deliverable.
  • Conduction product/system verification test, and supports on applicable element and/or part verification test:
    • Verification test requirement analysis and planning making
    • Verification test protocol/procedure development
    • Verification test process/method/tool validation
    • Verification test executions
    • Verification test recording and final reporting
  • Lead compliance assurance on medical device technical regulations:
    • New/changing standard awareness
    • Standard compliance strategy making
    • Standard introduction into in-process project and post-released product
    • Standard requirement decomposition and deployment
    • Standard type testing/inspection and reporting
  • Contribution and consolidation to local lab system establishment and maintenance in aspect of:
    • Lab manage system maintenance
    • Lab test capability and process development
    • Lab test method verification and/or validation
    • Lab test environment, facility, equipment and instrument maintenance
  • Identify and report risk, deviation, abnormity and inconformity, and push product design and process improvement accordingly.

You are a part of

A professional R&D team with around 80 team peers in Shenzhen China, a key player in Philips global R&D organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or master degree in engineering, e.g. electronic and industry automation etc.
  • More than 5 years’ experience on testing engineering of active medical device or other comparative electronic industry.
    • Experience with product/system verification/test in product design and development
    • Be familiar with one or more in the aspects of safety, EMC, performance and reliability test
    • Be familiar with general safety and performance requirement, e.g. IEC 60601-1 standards
    • Experience in certificated lab is better
    • With competencies of product and design quality and compliance, conflict managements and communication effectiveness
    • Good English writing and speaking
    • Strong sense of responsibility, team works, good communication skills, self-learning ability
    • Continual improvement focused, self-directed and creative
