In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead all aspects of Customer Service RF coils requirements in support of the global MR RF coils related projects of new Magnetic Resonance systems and revisions. The senior RF coils service innovation engineer role will coordinate and handle the customer service deliverables and actions required to define,  improve and secure the serviceability and remote diagnostic of our MR products and to secure successful launch of the new system to our worldwide service organization, in additional, You have a keen eye on satisfying our customers and sustaining a healthy service business.

You are responsible for

  • Responsible for MR RF coils serviceability and remote diagnostic design in new NPI & MLD project
  • Participating in RF coils design reviews to safeguard the required serviceability and reliability
  • Advising development how to realize an efficient serviceability of the RF coils into system
  • Preparing RF coils Service deliverables in projects on the agreed time with high quality
  • Taking an active RF coils specialist role in First of a Kind installation support and system performance monitoring after hand over to the customer
  • Participating in engineering teams, project teams and work with Global CS to drive IB products RF coils serviceability and quality improvements, Data analysis for IB RF coils issues and customer complains, work with across function teams to drive solutions and countermeasures to reduce service cost and improve customer satisfaction
  • Initiating and implementing RF coils service process improvements and optimize way of working in projects and in global S&SD department
  • Cooperating with your peers within the MR CS department, the field organization and the Service Architect, to set out and realize the RF coils serviceability road map for our product
  • Define RF coils Spare parts/eSPF ( Electronic Spare Parts Finder)
  • Prepare Customer Support product Training Course Requirements (TCR)- RF coils

You are a part of

The Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance is a leading supplier for 1st line screening technology in hospitals. MR is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing in applications but also in complexity of the systems and their acquisition techniques. For our younger population, it’s the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive character.

The MR Customer Service team is a global team with 70 FTE and main operations in Best, USA India, Singapore and China. The Service Innovation group (+20 FTE) defines the service requirements, information and processes required to support the Regional Service organizations and their engineers with installation, corrective and preventive maintenance actions on Philips MR scanners. Support is provided by means of electronic service documentation, diagnostic tools, backup to the 3rd line helpdesk, on site assistance and by securing the availability of spare parts.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in a technical field, A first degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/RF
  • Skilled in RF or microwave circuit with knowledge of electromagnetic theory
  • Affinity and/or experience in a Service Department in a sophisticated Product Development environment
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in English - written and oral)
  • Experience in IB customer complains, customer call related big data wide analysis, planning, and multi-discipline approaches.
  • As this role, you do not accept the “status quo” and you are eager to drive improvements
  • Ability to set the direction and empower people, winning dedication to service goals and building trust
  • Well organized and analytical with good communications skills at various levels in the organization Phenomenal teammate, results driven, pro-active and able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of the medical device industry and Philips Healthcare products is a plus
