Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Participate in the design and testing of medical solutions to diagnose and treat sleep and respiratory conditions.  Technical skills, judgment, and experience will be applied to build, test, and evaluate product designs.

You are responsible for

  • Working in product development on a combination of developing new products and/or product sustainment for mechanical and electromechanical medical devices
  • Assisting in developing solutions and systems through full life cycle research, feasibility, product design, verification, validation and supporting transfer to production
  • Obtaining parts and creating prototypes
  • Writing test protocols, conducting tests, analyzing data, and reporting results
  • Successfully interacting with associates in other departments, such as Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to achieve project and product objectives.
  • Developing new test methods and tools as necessary.  Specifying, acquiring, and maintaining lab equipment.
  • Operating lab instruments such as manometers, flow meters, data acquisition systems, and computer programs.
  • Being a highly motivated, self-disciplined, open minded, individual possessing hands-on skills.
  • Employing development best practices and ensuring compliance to the quality management system and regulatory standards

You are a part of

A global, cross-functional technical team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical, electromechanical, and wearable solutions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Education in electromechanical systems.  Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in technical product development team preferred.
  • Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to build prototypes, perform testing, and troubleshoot functions is required.
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans is required. 
  • Requires strong written communication skills for properly documenting assigned tasks. Requires strong verbal communication skills for effective participation in project meetings.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
