Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Explore and drive industrial-academic joint innovation in radiology, oncology and/or cardiology. You will get the exciting opportunity to work with clinical principal investigators at top institutes/hospitals in China and be part of talented research group with HIT, AI and data analysis capability at Philips Research China.

You are responsible for

As Senior Scientist in Healthcare Informatics direction, you are responsible for:

  • Collaborate with local and global research team and/or clinical research board to explore and evaluate new business opportunities and research required for development following PBS and play as a need seeker in China market
  • Drive Philips solution direction by defining research topics, develop systems following QMS process and execute the relevant projects with clinical principal investigators at Institutes/hospital in lines with Philips business and research innovation strategy
  • Lead, drive and define the healthcare informatics research topics in Radiology, Cardiology and Oncology domains.
  • Review, design and implement study protocols to fulfill research goals according regulatory framework audit requirements
  • Developing the biomedical informatics innovation prototypes; transfer and implement them to products or solutions with scientists and engineers following company QMS.

You are a part of
Philips Research China was established in 2000. The Research Department PD (Precision Diagnosis)/IGT (Image Guided Therapy) is working on ultrasound, medical imaging, Healthcare IT and solutions, with the key competency on clinical validation, image analysis, natural language processing and big data analytics.

You will be part of clinical research board in Philips Research China and report directly to Department Team Leader of NLP & Data analysis team of PD/IGT department.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • M.Sc. degree or above in clinical medicine or medical informatics (medical terminology standardization)
  • At least 3-years working experience in clinical data analysis/mining, and/or machine learning in cardiovascular diseases and/or oncology is preferred;
  • Experience with EMR system design and related clinical decision support system development
  • Experienced in Python or R scientific programming language is a plus
  • Expertise in ffont end development
  • Expertise in the key technologies of HIT such as standarization, ontology, medical terminology and et al.
  • Experience in Chinese Medical NLP is a plus
  • Working experience in cardiology, oncology or radiation therapy department in China hospitals is plus;
  • Strong communication skills both in Chinese and English.
