As a Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to lead projects and manage Platform Lifecycle to specify, design, unit test, and support product releases which meet customer needs, cost goals, and schedule. Develop skills and improve effectiveness of engineers within the team. Interface with leaders across the organization and establish clear communication channels for Lifecycle Management and Platform Hardware Engineering, and Design Transfers. Take ownership when design issues are identified in manufacturing floor or in the field. Use structured Problem-Solving Methodologies to determine root cause, develop mitigations and deploy the solutions. Encourage innovation in product design and the advancement of Ultrasound technology.

You are responsible for

  • Managing the Platform Lifecycle by defining, developing, and deploying projects which support the Ultrasound R&D product roadmap. Contributions include defining the strategy and coordinating architecture, design, and unit test activities, all in support of product releases which meet customer needs, implementations which satisfy cost goals, and project management activities which deliver projects on-time and on-target
  • Lead the cross-functional Platform Lifecycle Team, maintain Platform roadmaps, and align several hardware changes for the platform. Coordinate release plans and sprints, ensuring all changes are deployed on time and with quality
  • Work with Clinical and Product Marketing in our Business Segments, Procurement, Q&R, Service, Supply Chain, and the development teams as appropriate to influence the proposal and implementation of designs that meet customer and system performance requirements. Ensure communication is occurring both within the team as well as to other engineering functions in the organization
  • Participate in and/or drive Hardware process improvements through Lean methodologies
  • Drive Lifecycle management of platform hardware with Operations and Service departments. Work across functional boundaries to formulate strategies or project proposals for Ultrasound.
  • Oversee several projects in lifecycle management, including obsolescence, quality improvement, value engineering and compliance projects for managing Platform Lifecycle

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BS/MS in Software/Electrical/Computer Science/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Successful track record of project management for R&D or Supply Chain. 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional, cross-site stakeholders.
  • Great work ethics with a passion for quality, Lean and business efficiency.
  • PMP Certification, MBA and Experience in a regulated medical device development and manufacturing environment a plus.
