Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Develop various electrical engineering solutions for Digital X-Ray system.  Include design, implementation and testing to meet sub-system requirements.

You are responsible for

  • The position has design responsibility to ensure that product programs achieve all design objectives required to meet customer and business needs, including: feature and functionality, quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacture-ability, regulatory, compliance and cost.
  • The Electrical Engineer must understand and capture the user needs into subsystem requirement and design activities. Responsible for the design, realization and test of a subsystem, component or module.
  • Electrical Engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in Electrical Engineering, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of the literature and technical contacts.
  • Review and coordinate of the DXR Product Roadmap, provide the EE technical input for DXR Product Roadmap.
  • Engaging in all phases of new product development and ensure quality deliverables, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
  • Supporting supplier screening and supplier development. Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery of product through supplier relationships.
  • Design activities
    • Understanding marketing and customer needs of DXR product;
    • Leading design feasibility study under pressure with cross function;
    • Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance; reliability, serviceability, warranty, cost and manufacturability;
    • Developing engineering design concepts for components that have tough requirements for usability, precision, reliability, cost and schedule.
  • Verification/Validation activity
    • Supporting subsystem development of verification and validation activity and execution;
    • Verifying and validating subsystem level reliability;
    • Working with service engineer to improve product serviceability and reduce warranty cost;
    • Supporting the subsystem defect and design change activity during product development phase.
  • Design transfer/post market activity
    • Working closely with supplier to ensure the product quality;
    • Supporting product design transfer and R&D delivery;
    • Supporting field issue analysis and close.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master degree or above. 
  • Innovative in developing new ideas, concepts, and solutions that are widely applicable that provide the best user experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with medical device regulatory requirements
  • Team oriented work philosophy, willing and able to respond quickly and creatively to meet challenges and accomplish team goals;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at the business unit and executive levels.
  • Be proficient in digital and analog circuit design Be proficient in motion control design and optimization
  • Be proficient in the application of the following electrical components: MCU, digital processor, FPGA.
  • Be familiar with the firmware design process and have the programming ability. Have experience in developing Real-Time Operating systems (RTOS).
  • Have experience in project or product development.
  • Experience with simulation tools, for example, Matlab or Cadence Hands-on lab experience
