In this role, you have the opportunity to

Provide solutions and support to a large number of end users in the area of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software engineering. The Engineering IT department at China is part of a global IT I2M Engineering IT organisation.

The Engineering IT organisation is responsible for the delivery of services to all major R&D engineering disciplines, Software, Mechanics and Electronics, for the functional areas of applications, libraries, archives and their environments, i.e. the “toolkit of the engineers”. The customers (+/- 14000 currently) are all the PH BIU’s development departments including their worldwide interfaces with non engineering PH disciplines and non PH collaboration partners. The current Engineering IT consists of 14 departments located in Bangalore, Best, Bothell, Cleveland, Hamburg, Haifa, Suzhou, Shenyang and Eindhoven, operationally reporting to site business R&D managers and on PH level to the Global Development Management.

You are responsible for

•    Deploy, improve the Mechanical/Electrical Design Environment/PDM system with customer together
•    Training end-users on the mechanical/Electrical design tools & PDM system
•    Maintenance & Support mechanical/Electrical development tools & relevant systems.
•    Collaborative engineering with other site/BU on mechanical/Electrical tools implementation
•    Check/Share/Align with global teams on the mechanical/Electrical tools/systems
•    Electrical library creation & maintain for standard components
•    Change management regarding to mechanical/electrical environments
•    Lead and execute projects about electrical/mechanical applications

•    24/7 flexible supporting model for end users in GCN time zone

You are a part of

Philips IT I2M – Engineering IT 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

•    Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
•    At least 5 years background in mechanical/electrical engineering, understands the way of working within mechanical/electrical development departments
•    Extensive experience using the Mechanical Engineering Applications, i.e. Creo, AutoCad, NX, Solidworks, IDEAS, SolidEdge 
•    Extensive experience using the Electrical Engineering Applications, i.e. Mentor, Cadence, PLECS, Xilinx 
•    Extensive experience in using and managing the Product Data Management systems, i.e. Pro/INTRALINK, Windchill PDMlink, Teamcenter, Agile
•    Familiar with simulation tooling, like Ansys, Labview
•    Positive behaviors to lead the projects/activities around mechanical application & environment
•    Working experience in a development and/or service organization for professional industrial products
•    Basic knowledge with IT knowledge, network, OS, servers
•    Language skills: Chinese and English, in speech and writing
