Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Display your broad commercial skills and capabilities. You will be responsible for the growth of the patient and staff experience propositions in Greater China (GRC), by leading the execution of the commercial strategy for new and existing portfolio of products, solutions and services within the region. Success is measured by increasing order intake and revenue through ensuring business and market enablers are in place. You will act as the domain expert and linking pin between the Markets and the BU. Support in market activation and strategic Must-win deals.

You are responsible for:

  • GRC Commercial performance (Order inTake & Revenue, integral Gross Margin)
  • GRC Downstream Marketing Planning and Execution
  • Leading and supporting the markets in the Presales stages of the opportunity by providing deep & effective presentation of market trends with a focus on customer needs and defined solution
  • Building and retaining a network in the markets with the local market teams within the various commercial clusters & stakeholders (KOL’s)
  • Business Market enablers being in place, for instance NPl’s, quality, support for the in-market approaches for channels, etc.
  • Supports in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, Business-Market Combination (BMC) hand-shake efforts and represents the Business in the BMC process.
  • Identifying competitive moves in collaboration with the market Business Marketing & Sales (BM&S) teams, drive competitive analysis locally, enhance portfolio and strategies against established players and new threats based on deep understanding of industry landscape incl. customer needs, trends, competition; supported by Insights and Analytics.
  • Collaboration with the Category and Product Managers through feedback into the value proposition creation, product development and launch to maximize the commercial success of the offerings.

As part the Business organization, you are part of the commercial and marketing team, closely connected to our product marketing team. You will report to the Global Commercial Director/Business leader. And will have a dotted reporting line responsibility in the market organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree and 10+ years' experience in a business development or commercial role
  • Experience in all aspects of Marketing including market insights, value proposition generation, pricing, communications, channel management and planning, Market 2 Order processes.
  • Integrated & conceptual solutions selling experience
  • Ability to build and nurture effective relationships within the matrix by developing strong collaboration with peers within the market, cross business, and cross function.
  • Customer first attitude, driven by a strong external focus.
  • Bringing people together and aligning them around common goals; leverages the power of Philips independent from organizational structures and reports
  • Understanding of healthcare and health technology industry will be a plus


  • Strong strategic Business drive and experience in development of new business models
  • Commercial and marketing skills and insights
  • Understand marketing of conceptual solutions
  • Affinity with design
  • Solid spoken and written English
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and building networks
  • Ability to travel around 20%
