Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Serves as the customer proxy allocated to work with the agile team(s), ensuring quality business critical and priority features are delivered to meet customer expectations across program increments. Is responsible for defining, prioritizing, documenting and accepting stories, non-functional and functional requirements, and managing the teams’ backlog. Works with business owners, architects, product management, Q&R and software leaders contributing to vision and program backlog, preparing for program increment planning and streamlining the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the respective team(s) throughout the product life cycle.

You are responsible for

  • Contributes to and reviews program vision, roadmap and content presentations
  • Prepares and participates in release planning, contributes to program increment planning, program backlog refinement, and preparation / prioritization of portfolio backlogs to continuously synthesize into program backlog and then to team backlog
  • Drafts the team’s specific objectives for the program increment 
  • Defines iterations and stories for the team
  • Builds, edits, reviews and reprioritizes the team backlog coordinating dependencies with other POs 
  • Has the primary responsibility for maintaining the story flow, possibly embedded in the agile team
  • Defines stories and provides input for user story details and priorities, establishes story acceptance criteria, accepts stories into the baseline / the final iteration plan
  • Supports team with their story estimates and sequencing
  • Facilitates and leads sprint planning and grooming sessions 
  • May define functional and non-functional requirements as well as the user interface
  • Identifies gaps between current system and client/market needs
  • Coordinates with other product owners on content dependencies 
  • Manages content deliverables and dependencies to external suppliers 
  • Facilitates inter‐team dependencies in the respective sprints 
  • Participates in team demo and retrospectives. Works with other product owners to produce the system demo, delivers system demo for his/her scope to the business owner and product management team
  • May ensure validation of the system with the client 
  • Serves as the customer proxy managing the stories and backlog for one simple product/module with few interfaces and one respective scrum team to deliver quality & doneness
  • Has strong spoken and written communication skills 
  • Has fundamental competencies for documentation 
  • Business domain knowledge: Relies on stakeholders’ knowledge
  • Manage stakeholders:  Small local well understood groups 
  • Navigates organizational complexity with one agile team to liaise with
  • Focus is on one system/module with few interfaces (to other systems) 
  • Coordinate with Global Team, primarily with product Management team and specify requirements and intended feature behavior
  • Create, refine and manage Team Backlogs to autonomously achieve and maintain targeted business objectives
  • Present product concepts, roadmap, and delivery timeline to management and scrum teams
  • Work with Release management team to develop and implement release plans working with their teams to ensure value delivery
  • Take product enhancements and new product launches from start to finish thinking through each detail and delivering solid results, collaborating with all stakeholders in particular to the Product Management team
  • Support project management in effort estimation and risk management activities

The Interventional Applications (iApps) group within the China Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Cluster R&D organization in Philips is a newly formed team to support further strategic growth of IGT in China. The iApps group plays a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of clinical applications and solutions for our customers. The China IGT cluster collaborates with the global teams across the sites of Netherlands, India, USA and Israel. The global team is responsible for the development and maintenance of 20+ 2D & 3D Interventional Applications, used in combination with our Azurion, Intrasight and Zenition product platforms. Our products are used across all clinical area of Neuro, cardiac, Oncology and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in hospitals across the globe.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Has 15+ years of work experience with at-least 4 years of relevant product management experience
  • Has exposure and understanding of software products in healthcare domain, Clinical data and Healthcare standards
  • Has prior working experience in C#/C++/Windows, and DevOps development processes
  • Experience in working on docker containers, Kubernetes is preferred
  • Experience in working on cloud native applications and technologies like Angular/React/Java/Linux is a plus
  • Appreciation of data analytics, and understanding of AI/ML will be preferred
  • Strong Investigation, Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exposure to SAFe and Agile Development
  • Ability to work with multisite teams, is quality conscious and process oriented
  • Has excellent verbal and written skills. Follows strong documentation practices
  • Is detail oriented, has ability to multitask
  • Self-starter and quick learner with ability to work in a global team setting under minimal supervision
  • Has innovative mind set
  • Shall be a excellent team player
