Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the teams for development, improvements and maintenance of market-leading products in the field of X-ray based image guided therapy (IGT) along its life cycle

You are responsible for

  • Working at a team level with one to two agile teams developing clinical applications and platforms
  • Supporting teams in Agile way of working and coaching Agile practices related to teams
  • Knowledge sharing: Shares knowledge within the agile team and resolves issues directly
  • Influence: Enables team to self-organise at scale
  • Stakeholders: Team level stakeholders, Product Owners, RTE, Architects, Other Scrum Masters
  • Managing overall system and organisational complexity
  • Managing medium technological diversity, mainly established technologies (e.g. medical work stations)
  • Organizational complexity: Typically, 1-2 mature agile teams, in a well-established business with a diverse, but stable group of stakeholders
  • The lean/agile process authority for a scrum team and its direct stakeholders
  • Safeguarding the team’s empowerment as a selforganizing unit
  • Supporting the team and its direct stakeholders achieve their goals through coaching and influencing, problem solving and removing impediments.
  • Contributing to larger software projects/trains

Key Areas of Responsibility (KAR):

  • Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the Team / ART /Solution Train(s) using various tools, such as the Team / Program /Solution Kanbans and other information radiators. Encourages collaboration between teams and System & Solution Architects/Engineering/Marketing/Q&R etc. (e.g. continuous deliverypipeline, Lean UX and DevOps)
  • Facilitates Agile ceremonies such as Sprint / PI Planning readiness, by fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings, including the Scrum of Scrum / ART sync at the Program level and the Value Stream sync for Solution Trains
  • Works with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, Software Leaders and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. Assists tracking the execution of features and capabilities
  • Coaches different stakeholder groups (leaders / Product Owners / teams / Scrum Masters) in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Helps manage risks, dependencies and conflicts and escalates and tracks impediments in alignment with Software Leaders
  • Provides transparency and radiates status to all relevant stakeholders (e.g. RTE / Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)) and supports related activities
  • Drives continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assesses the agility level of the Team / ART / Solution Train and helps them improve
  • Foster built-in quality practices

You are a part of

The Interventional Applications (iApps) group within the China Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Cluster R&D organization in Philips is a newly formed team to support further strategic growth of IGT in China. The iApps group plays a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of clinical applications and solutions for our customers. The China IGT cluster collaborates with the global teams across the sites of Netherlands, India, USA and Israel. The global team is responsible for the development and maintenance of 20+ 2D & 3D Interventional Applications, used in combination with our Azurion, Intrasight and Zenition product platforms. Our products are used across all clinical area of Neuro, cardiac, Oncology and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in hospitals across the globe.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum graduation - Certified Scrum Master
  • Typically, up to 2 years of experience as a SCRUM Master or at least 2 years of experience working in an agile environment
  • Experienced with servant leadership, confident and inspirational, and is able to convey goal and purpose, while encouraging selforganization
  • Typically, 6-8 years in Software Development (e.g. diverse projects, development, testing, delivery, SW project management)
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and executing projects
  • Affinity to medical device standards and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills and experience in creating alignment between broad varieties of stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and documentation practices
