Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be an integral part of the defibrillator Monitor development team and have the opportunity to work with the group of world-class, Electrical/Mechanical Engineers who develop products that help save lives all over the world.

You are responsible for

• Responsible for medical device product development and mechanical design, including the design of mechanical structure drawing, wire design, mechanical BOM output and so on.

• Analyze device structure, evaluate and design a reasonable product cost; track on the follow-up product cost optimization work.

• Responsible for the control and confirmation work on product part and material, in order to ensure the productive efficiency of the product design.

• Responsible for the compilation of mechanical test validation protocols and implementation of specific test in the development process of product with V&V team.

• Responsible for compilation work of the specific mechanical design programs of product.

• Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of (elements and parts of) products, systems and/or solutions.

• Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost. Develops high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product requirements and Philips reference architecture requirements

• Responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.

You are a part of

The advanced mechanical engineer will be one member of the hardware team in our defibrillator Monitor development group within the ECR Business Innovation Unit (BIU)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master of Mechanical, automation, biomedical engineering etc.
  • Good understanding of mechanical design on electronics, equipment, or medical device
  • Experience with medical device development or familiar with CAD tool preferred
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, self-learning ability
  • Continual improvement focused, self-directed and creative
  • Good ability of writing the report of issue analysis and presenting the report in team with English
