In this role, you have the opportunity to

Accelerate our company transformation by driving growth and development of individuals and teams in supporting of our people strategy. As Learning & Talent Partner your key focus area is to partner with key stakeholders in Greater China to ensure all of our interventions from the Learning & Talent Innovation CoE proactively enable the Greater China people strategy. As partner you consult your account team and orchestrate the full CoE, guiding the various domains in the CoE (i.e. Leadership, Talent Management, Learning) to deliver with impact, leveraging expertise and global practices.

You are responsible for

  • Being a trusted Partner towards (HR) Leaders in Greater China, enabling the People Plan through a robust and living Learning & Talent Plan.
  • Owning impact of Learning & Talent Plan in Greater China, monitoring, reporting and acting to maximize impact.
  • Using insights to identify Learning & Talent needs in Greater China, and triaging needs towards a) existing solutions, b) modified solutions, c) new solution development in collaboration with CoE colleagues (or beyond). In this role it is key to balance local needs (clear guidance, relevance, speed) with enterprise interests.
  • Activating and engaging Greater China leadership and HR for successful deployment of globally mandated Learning & Talent Innovation processes/practices and showcasing (relevant) opportunities leveraging CoE domain expertise (e.g. Talent dialogue modules; Leadership & Org. Effectiveness practices; Onboarding; Mandatory learnings).
  • Orchestrating deployment of, and where you see the need, playing a key role in delivering, Learning & Talent Innovation solutions matching Greater China business and people needs (e.g. in facilitating Team Effectiveness sessions), in collaboration with CoE colleagues (or beyond).
  • Driving key projects within the Greater China Learning & Talent Plan; leading multi-disciplinary team across the CoE (or beyond) as appropriate to execute on key projects.
  • Working closely with the upstream solutions lead in each CoE space (Learning, Talent, Leadership & Org. Effectiveness) to partner on design, build and deployment of appropriate solutions, ensuring relevance and impact of the solution portfolio.
  • Remaining fully up-to-date on existing portfolio of solutions from CoE, and aware of best practices and what’s coming up in the pipeline, and proactively marketing/showcasing opportunities.

You are a part of

The Learning & Talent Innovation CoE within the HR Function, you’ll report into a Lead Learning & Talent Partner within the CoE and to the Head of HR for Greater China. You’re an integral member of both the CoE and the Greater China HR team.

To succeed in this role, you would likely have the following skills and experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in increasingly senior roles within Talent Management, Learning and/or Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer first mindset, with keen ability to balance the demands of a global CoE with local needs resulting from Businesses, Markets and Functions.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders, and ability to ‘performance consult’ in senior settings.
  • Proven ability to drive impact in similar partnering roles, ideally in a setting with similar complexity to Philips.
  • A sense of autonomous judgment as to what intervention will generate the greatest impact for our business (i.e. Philips China and Philips) , both immediately and/or longer term.
  • Able to quickly understand the breadth of the Learning & Talent Innovation CoE portfolio, and to triage requests and advise interventions to address needs accordingly.
  • Ability to mobilize functional teams towards impact in the China organization. Lead or guide multi-disciplinary teams in projects or interventions, including demonstrated ability to deliver project milestones on time against key impact and quality criteria.
  • Evangelist for the key themes of the Learning & Talent Innovation CoE (impact, superior user-experience, and strategic fit).
  • Strong stakeholder management, and ability to connect and collaborate in a global matrix setting, ideally on the intersection of China (speed) and a global (CoE) function.
