In this role as a system test engineer, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and improve the quality of our X-RAY generator products. Your primary responsibility as a system test engineer will be to study new automation tools, work with the development and test engineering teams to create new test harnesses, automate testing. The test simulation systems explore and validate the functional correctness, performance capabilities, and resource usage of our software and DSP firmware running on generator products.

You are responsible for

•    Develops, executes and archives objective, reproducible and maintainable test designs and test protocols/procedures (for elements, (sub)system integration, functional and non-functional tests), by using test design methods, techniques and tools.
•    Creates, reviews and optimizes test designs, reusable test protocols, and test procedures to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage for multiple projects and/or products concurrently
•    Develops and conducts tests to verify functionality (performance, reliability, security, compliance,…) based on a risk-based strategy, against the design input requirements. Formally reports this.
•    Reviews system (functional and non-functional) requirements / stories / features for accuracy and testability
•    Automates tests and tests own code. Selects and applies test management tools / simulation models / test frameworks / scripting languages
•    Supports design changes for quality impact.
•    Executes test plans defined by others

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

•    Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or equivalent 
•    1 years of professional software test experience in a product development environment
•    Knowledge of testing theory, testing process and test tools.. 
•    Experience testing with embedded microcontrollers and firmware on a commercial application.
•    Experience with the following communication interfaces: SPI. Experience with TCP/IP is a plus;
•    Experienced in V-model  or Agile development methodology
•    Basic UML understanding and use UML to design the software class, sequence, state machine.
•    Must be open-minded to assure best test design is chosen 
•    Ability to work within a cross-functional organization with good communication skills. 
•    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills while communicating in both English and Chinese
