In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better

Guiding the development of design ideas in a project from basic product/communication concepts to fully worked out design solutions

You are responsible for

Research and consulting on Product/Service Design & Innovation

o   Do desk research and market visit in related to market overview, design trends, design elements analysis of products, user experience, user interface, etc. Creating, specifying and applying harmonized visual styles that can be used across multiple applications and target users

o   Do qualitative and ethnographic research, such as in-depth interview, FG discussion, workshop, brainstorming sessions, and ethnographic observation, etc., including research design, guideline preparation, moderation, analysis and reporting

o  Do quantitative research in research design, questionnaire preparation, fieldwork overview, DP Spec preparation, interpret data and reporting

o  Analyze and synthesis all the collected information to define insights to guide product innovation, or design / innovation strategy

o  Assist the project manager to write a story-telling report

Product/Service Design

o  Provide design related support to projects led by non-design background team member

o  Work with the team to figure out design or innovation concepts and show them through visualizing, sketching, or modeling

o  Communicate with engineer or manufacturer to make sure the concepts can be realized

o  Assist in testing product designs or modifications using models, prototypes, specialist computer software and CAD-technology

o  Set out guidelines and procedures that will be employed in the full-scale production process, including quality assurance

Client service and others

o  Participate the discussion with clients during projects actively

o  Take part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings

o  Travel to production facilities to supervise manufacturers' efforts

You are a part of

A team of Product, CMF, UX and Communication Designers and Program Managers, with a main focus on male grooming and mother and child care products. Your team works closely with business management, marketing and engineering. We create the future identity for the portfolio and execute this through projects, guidelines and final design specifications.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

·       Bachelor or Master Degree in product or industrial design

·       6-10 years' relevant experience in one or more specific business domains and in one or more markets and cultures, with focus on industrial design for consumer electronics

·       Technical experience from the realization phase of the product development process is required

·       You have strong analytical & conceptual skills in order to gather relevant user insights, competitor studies and to create meaningful and innovative solutions

·       Strong design skills, including hand and digital sketching and CAD modeling with Rhino or Solid Works

·       Strong CMF and graphic creation and visualization skills, creating appealing visuals that bring your design solutions to life

·       You have a professional, ambitious and collaborative mindset

·       Ensuring all deadlines are met on time, with impeccable deliverables

·       Building awareness of current trends through fashion, art, design, and digital related products through market research

·       Having a strong narrative ability in verbal and written communication

·       You can communicate fluently in Chinese (Mandarin) and has proficient English speaking and writing skills
