Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Responsible for the design transfer of the NPI products from R&D to Manufacturing, developing the materials qualification process for medical devices (Patient monitoring, Diagnostic Electrocardiography, etc.), help improve the product quality products design, manufacturing phase, verify/validate the materials and final release the products for shipment. You will also need to support the sustaining activities after product release.

You are responsible for

  • Initiates and oversees process technology development activities in the context of New Product Generation as well as product and solution technology roadmap;

  • Ensures adherence to the applicable process for material/product introductions, qualification and release;

  • Responsible for Manufacturing input in PDLM process focusing on DfMAT;

  • Is accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from R&D;

  • Is accountable for the process and equipment capability that meets these requirements;

  • Orchestrates design for lean manufacturing with according inputs to PDLM workflows;

  • Responsible for PDLM-driven design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers and their implementation;

  • Is accountable for manufacturing BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment and for PDLM ruled changes;

  • Is accountable for qualifying the materials, process at supplier sides;

  • Manage changes at supplier’s side;

  • Applies lean manufacturing principles;

  • Executes the processes and standards in adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory- and environmental requirements as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles and other policies;

  • Collaborates with R&D, Operations engineering team and other CFT on timely problem solving;

You are a part of

A professional team work closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and project management team to transfer the NPI Materials/Products to production, release the shipment on time and make the project success.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above on Mechanical, or Electrical, or related technical engineering, etc.

  • Experience: 5+ years working experience on related industrial field in terms of Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Supplier Quality engineering, etc.

  • Competency and Skills:

  • Preferred the experience in the medical device industry, EMS, etc.

  • Skilled using tools such as DFMx/FMEA/SCAR/CAPA

  • Good at English Speaking/Listening/Writing

  • Ability to complete work independently

  • Ability for problem solving

  • Teamwork spirit

  • Would be a plus if familiar with medical QMS (e.g. ISO13485, FDA, EUMDR, NMPA, etc.)
