Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Initiate, develop and implement effective Supplier Performance and Relationship
management programs to ensure performance (productivity, quality, sustainability and delivery), growth and innovation, while effectively managing risk and spend for the assigned suppliers in the Electronics Commodity, working closely with the Global Commodity Manager. 

You are responsible for:

The global supplier Account Manager owns Supplier Relationship and delivers strategic impact through Supplier Strategy Development

  • Understands the full business relationship of the Supplier, its position in the market relative to others, and its strategy, investment themes and capabilities
  • Manages Supplier performance and enriches it with cross-functional stakeholder feedback/calibration
  • Develops, based on commodity, business and supplier strategy, an aligned account strategy for the supply relationship, clearly defining areas of development such as performance, cost and feature competitiveness improvement, relevant future (and innovative) business opportunities and a contract that enables such execution
  • Applies oversight and monitoring of agreed projects being executed in the business by securing close alignment between supplier, Procurement Business Partner and business
  • Orchestrates Supplier related activities and communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure one consistent Supplier approach

Relentlessly drives impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier

  • Utilizes Negotiation best practices and actively promotes Supplier Development program
  • Implements defined negotiation roadmap, target setting and business reviews
  • Manages the competition in the supply base to secure a healthy tension between suppliers to foster cost and feature innovation

Drives compliance, contract and risk management

  • Conducts assessments to identify and manage critical supplier parameters on a continuous basis covering risk, regulatory compliance, financial exposure and related liabilities (and creating corresponding mitigation and contingency plans with business continuity in mind)
  • Ensures full compliance regarding sustainability and regulatory requirements

The new Domestic Appliances Global Commodity team. This team will be responsible for the commodity strategy of electronics and electrical products for in line with DA business strategy, managing the supplier performance and business relationship, and driving the effective implementation of the commodity strategies in the organization. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor degree or above in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years knowledge and experience in procurement/commodity management, preferred with EMS and electronics related industry.
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally
  • Operational experience with production/manufacturing environment is required
  • Comfortable being an escalation point for global business
  • Logical and analytical thinker
  • Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese is required.
