In this role, you have the opportunity to

Collaborate to the creation of an excellent UX for a broad range of healthcare related solutions. Furthermore the role will be executing usability evaluations in several stages of the design process in order to identify areas where usability, safety and the overall user experience can be improved.

You are responsible for

• conduct user need and task analysis
• describe requirements and usability specifications
• collaborate in modeling the UX, especially applying human factors to the design solutions
• participate to design reviews
• iteratively evaluate design solutions
• Usability testing
• Plan and organize usability evaluations in co-operation with stakeholders such as product managers, project managers and end-users
• Conduct user testing and expert reviews (e.g. cognitive walkthroughs) for the evaluation of Philips Healthcare products using established usability engineering practices
• Usability engineering
• Provide guidance to our internal stakeholders on the application of usability engineering to medical devices according to best practices, standards on usability and relevant regulation.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Academic background in interaction design or cognitive science with focus on Human-Computer Interaction and Usability
• 5 years and above progressive experience as an interaction designer/ usability engineer
• Proven knowledge of Human factors and interaction design, Usability methodologies, processes and standards
• Knowledge of the healthcare domain (or equivalent professional equipment domain) is a plus
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills
