In this role, you have the opportunity to

Provide oversight and manage vendor/manufacturer master data related activities and workflow to ensure our vendor/manufacturer data is complete, accurate and follows data governance and purchasing control processes. This role will be responsible for requesting additions, changes and providing overall management of vendor and manufacturer master data across multiple data domains in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Projects within the Ultrasound business. This role will interface, collaborate and support multiple internal cross-functional teams as well as work with global commodity and data management teams.

You are responsible for

  • Perform Vendor/Manufacturer Adds/Changes, Qualification Documentation Oversight/Management, and follow-up with Supplier Quality and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) teams
  • Data Management activities covers both production suppliers as well as new product introduction (NPI), Research and Development (R&D) and misc. indirect materials/services suppliers
  • Initiates and monitors Vendor Master related workflow and works with Supplier Account Managers to ensure prompt actions are taken
  • Maintain dual vendor master additions and maintenance across two SAP kernels and provide monitoring and oversight to ensure both SAP kernels are accurately aligned
  • Support the sourcing assignment alignment between Windchill GRIDS and SAP vendor ID's
  • Provides support in the collaboration between Procurement Sourcing Engineers (PSE), Procurement Project Managers (PPM) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) relative to supplier selection, classification and qualification
  • Ultrasound contact for the global Change Control Board (CCB) on globally shared supplier changes requiring business actions
  • Investigates, troubleshoots and resolves data issues
  • Support Integrated Supply Chain in the registration of new suppliers in the Ariba SM system
  • Initiates the Business Partner Qualification in the Windchill system, with close collaboration with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team
  • Provides support with document generation and electronic data collection for supplier add/change submissions, as required based on supporting functions bandwidth and urgent needs
  • Provides back-end support to data requirements for Internal and Regulatory Audits
  • Represents Ultrasound  in participation on Global Community of Practice Teams related to Supplier Life Cycle Management (SLM) and purchasing control areas, providing inputs and feedback for consideration in central tool/process improvements
  • Assists in supporting vendor and manufacturer related data management processes/cleansing activities within Ultrasound, such as those triggered by central Supplier Life Cycle (SLM) teams
  • Close collaboration with SLM team on golden record ID (GRID) and SRM # analysis and clean-up, resulting in updates to both SAP and Windchill, with interfaces to other tools
  • Close collaboration with Supplier Quality Assurance  team on transition of the Approved Supplier List (ASL) to the Windchill system, per latest global process (PEPF) revisions
  • Serve as the Ultrasound end to end master data knowledge expert from a vendor master data (and related) perspective for SAP, Ariba SM, Ariba SRM, Business Partner Data Hub (BPDH), and Windchill
  • Provides vendor/manufacturer data requirements and guidance to cross functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant master data
  • Support planned and ad-hoc data analysis efforts and issue resolution for master data topics.
  • Operate as change agent within the organization to deploy vendor/manufacturer relevant global processes (PEPF) and drive improvements and standardization which includes aligning with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assists with procedure updates, as assigned
  • Provides training to PSE/PPM’s, as required, on new or changes to SLM related tools
  • Participates on the core team and supports the Supplier Reduction Initiatives
  • Provides support with Service supplier activity analysis and data validation
  • Supplier Master File Administrative Activities and SAP ASL management and maintenance
  • Other duties and requirements as required

You are a part of

A professional Supplier Life Cycle Management Subject Matter Expert within the Integrated Supply Chain team, working closely with Procurement Sourcing Engineers, Procurement Project Managers, Procurement, Buyers and Supplier Quality teams within the Ultrasound business.  In addition, working with global commodity management and supplier account managers as well as global OSCAR and SLM data teams, resulting in global exposure.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Education: Academic or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with web-based tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in SAP
  • Strong familiarity with Master Data management and concepts
  • Knowledge and experience with vendor related master data maintenance and management desired
  • Knowledge and experience working in Windchill desired
  • Knowledge and understanding of purchasing controls in a manufacturing environment desired
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience creating flows using Visio desired
  • Experience with creating detailed work instructions and conducting training
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual skills with ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven collaborative team environment
  • Ability to analyze requests and issues and determine correct action without assistance
  • Ability to manage multiple planned and unplanned tasks, roles, and responsibilities
  • Ability to independently manage workload and priorities to deliver on time
  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation/training skills
  • Fluent English
